Our Archives will be closed from Wednesday, March 20th until Monday, March 25th inclusive. The Brockville Museum will be doing some renovations to improve the insulation and heating in our space. We are sorry for the inconvenience but believe the improvements will make using our Archives more comfortable for both our volunteers and our visitors. Thank you.
Effective December 1st, 2018 the Leeds & Grenville Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society will respond to requests for research with as much information as we can locate within our Archives. There will be no minimum charge or advance payment required. We instead ask for a donation to the Branch to help offset our operating costs, with donations being collected through the Canada Helps link on our website.

The Leeds & Grenville Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society was saddened to learn of the passing of David Mackenzie on Thursday, October 4th in Brockville, Ontario. David was a former Branch Chair and former President of the Society. David’s contributions to family history in Leeds and Grenville and Ontario will be honoured for years to come. Our condolences go out to David’s family.
Merry Christmas from Leeds and Grenville Branch. Our Archives will be closed Monday, December 24th, re-opening Wednesday January 3rd, due to the closure of The Brockville Museum during that time.
We wish you all the blessings of the holiday season, and a happy, healthy and successful New Year! Enjoy time with family and friends, and make some family history memories to cherish!
Our host facility, the Brockville Museum, will no longer be open on Sundays, and so we must reduce our schedule of access to the Branch Archives. We will be open Monday – Saturday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm from Victoria Day until Labour Day. After Labour Day we will be open Monday – Friday 1:00 to 4:00 pm. We may be able to make arrangements for visits outside those hours, as long as the Museum is open and we have a volunteer available.
